Hello everyone,
I am new to homebrewing & got a BierBot to help me with my first batch. I have gone through the setup process and connected it to my equipment but I am a little unsure about a few things and could really use some advice from experienced users.
I am attempting to determine the ideal temperature ranges for pale ale preparation. I have seen a few different suggestion online but I am wondering if anyone here has a tried and tested temperature schedule that works well with BierBot.
Also, is there a way to get notifications if something goes wrong during the brewing process? I am not always near the equipment so I would like to be alerted in case there are any issues. I have set up the app but I am not sure if I have configured it correctly.
As well, I found these resources when doing research on this https://forum.bierbot.com/viewtopic.php?t=21mulesoft & if anyone have any resources, tutorials or personal experiences please share with me, It would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you

Welcome to the homebrewing journey! Using BierBot is a fantastic way to ease into the process, especially for beginners.
For pale ales, the ideal mash temperature typically ranges from 65-67°C (149-153°F). This range helps achieve a balanced flavor profile—neither too dry nor too sweet. After mashing, sparging water should be heated to about 75-78°C (167-172°F). For fermentation, most pale ale yeast strains thrive at 18-22°C (64-72°F), so keep an eye on the specifics of your yeast for the best results.
As for notifications, the BierBot app does support alerts, but it’s essential to double-check the settings. Ensure notifications are enabled and allowed in your phone settings. Sometimes a quick test run can confirm everything is working smoothly.
Good luck with your first batch! Let us know how it turns out. Cheers!

Spam is getting better Removed the link to AppStore in previous post. Also, there are currently no push notifications.
Any temperature schedule works fine with the BierBlt software, try to find the one that works with your taste buds.
Cheers,
Bernhard.
