Unexpected Temperature Drop During Mashing Phase

Post by ficegev »

Hi all,

I have recently run into a strange problem during the mashing phase using my BierBot Bricks setup. Around 20–30 minutes into the mash (at a set temperature of 67°C); the system suddenly drops the heater output & the temperature dips by 2–3°C before slowly recovering. 8-) This happens consistently around the same time during the process. No alerts are shown & the firmware is up to date. :|

I have checked all the sensor connections; power supply stability & even tried different recipes, but the issue persists. Could it be a PID tuning issue / is there a possibility the system is misinterpreting sensor input due to false stability readings? :?: I am not using any external pump / advanced automation just a basic single-vessel CISSP Online Training setup.I checked BierBot Bricks Troubleshooting Heater Output Drops guide for reference.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? If so, is there a calibration or sensor test I can perform through the web interface or API to confirm if it's a hardware or software glitch? :?:

Thank you!! 8-)
